Dear Industry Colleagues,

In light of the recent developments in antidumping (“AD”) and Countervailing Duty (“CVD”) petition brought by Cambria, against Quartz Surface Products from China at the International Trade Commission (“ITC”), and Department of Commerce (“DOC”), it is time that we group and band together as an industry to let our voice is heard.

The exposure on the recent critical circumstances ruling on AD duties (242%-341%) over the past 90 days (around Aug 15th) from federal register date can have a devastating financial impact on many of us in our industry. Over the past few days we have received calls from many fabricators, wholesalers and importers asking “what do we do next?”.

GET UNITED:

As a coalition, it is time that we as an industry create a platform that enables our voices to be heard in Washington so we can fight this petition both politically and on it’s on merit. We are asking you to UNITE in our efforts.

We have already started a website http://www.quartzcoalition.com where fabricators can be heard and also write to their congressional representative.

We need to grow our message and need help from our UNITED TEAM on all of the efforts listed above.

THE GOAL:

1st: WIN THE CASE AT ITC FINAL SO CASE IS CLOSED

2nd: If we do not win at ITC final, push to have Critical Circumstances removed

HOW:

Cambria has represented to the US Government that fabricators do not represent the US Domestic Industry. IT IS THE COALITION’S BELIEF that the fabricators are the backbone of the industry. We need your involvement at a local level to mobilize fabricators.

 1. WE NEED FABRICATORS TO SPEAK AND LET THEIR VOICE BE HEARD AND HAVE THEIR NAME APPEAR. THEY WILL BE KEY TO THIS CASE!!!!

2. THE ITC WILL BE SENDING QUESTIONNAIRES TO FABRICATORS. WE NEED THEM TO REPSOND. ONCE QUESTIONAIRES ARE SENT WE WILL HOST BREAKOUT SEESSIONS IN ALL MAJOR CITIES SO FABRICATORS CAN COME AND SEEK HELP IN FILLING OUT THE QUESTIONNAIRES AND ASK WHAT EVER QUESTIONS THEY MAY HAVE.
